This Privacy Policy explains how Money ID ("Money ID", "we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, and protects your information. By using Money ID, you agree to this policy.

1. Information We Collect

  • No Account: We do not create a user account for you and do not collect names, email addresses, or contact information unless you contact us directly for support.
  • Photos and Input: We may store money item photos, manual item details, visible text, denomination, issuer, mint, date, serial, edge, condition, and related scan input you provide.
  • Scan Results: We store AI-generated results, including status, confidence, evidence, warnings, readable text, translations, condition notes, catalog clues, reproduction-risk signals, saved scans, and history.
  • Chat Messages: We store your chat messages and the app's replies to provide conversation history and follow-up help about your scans.

We do not collect unnecessary personal information.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information only to:

  • Provide and improve Money ID's money identification, authenticity-clue, condition, history, and AI chat features.
  • Analyze uploaded or entered content using OCR-style extraction, translation, image analysis, and AI services.
  • Store your scans and chat history securely so you can access them across sessions.
  • Respond to support inquiries if you contact us.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your data.

3. Important Identification Disclaimer

Money ID is an assistive identifier. It provides estimates based on available images, visible details, user notes, and AI analysis. It is not an official authentication, grading, appraisal, bullion assay, legal tender validation, or market-pricing service, and should not be treated as decisive for important financial, legal, or commercial decisions.

Always verify important, valuable, rare, damaged, or uncertain items with qualified dealers, grading services, numismatists, appraisers, assayers, or other specialists.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your scans, AI results, saved history, and chat messages are stored securely in our systems.

Some app versions may not yet include every deletion or privacy control. Where deletion controls are available in the app, deleted data is removed from our active systems. You may contact us for support with privacy or deletion requests.

5. User Responsibilities

You may not upload or generate:

  • NSFW or sexually explicit images
  • Illegal or harmful content, including child exploitation material, copyrighted works you do not own, or hate content

We monitor for violations and may permanently suspend access for behavior that breaks these rules.

6. Subscriptions and Purchases

Payments are processed by the Apple App Store and Google Play. We do not store or have access to your payment details.

Prices, trial availability, and subscription options may vary by region and are shown in the app paywall or store purchase sheet. Subscriptions are auto-renewable but can be canceled via your App Store or Google Play account settings.

7. Consumption Data Shared with Apple

When you make in-app purchases, we may share limited data about your usage and consumption of purchased content with Apple to assist in evaluating refund requests. This data may include your subscription status, account tenure, and delivery status of purchased content.

This sharing occurs only in the context of Apple's refund process and is handled in accordance with Apple's privacy policies. We do not use this data for any other purpose.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your stored scans and chat history in the app.
  • Use available in-app controls or contact us to request deletion of stored scan and chat data.

9. Children's Privacy

Money ID is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under this age.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted here with a new "Last Updated" date.
